TARDOC 2026: What Changes for Therapists in Switzerland | HIP

As of January 1, 2026, TARMED has been replaced by TARDOC. Find out what this means for your practice and how HIP handles the new billing tariffs.

We’re here to support your practice—even after the switch to the new fee schedule.

Key Points at a Glance: The new fee schedule consists of the TARDOC individual service catalog and outpatient flat rates.

All ambulatory medical services provided by physicians in private practice and those employed by hospitals are billed using the two fee schedules: TARDOC and the ambulatory flat rates.

The key difference: While TARMED covered both inpatient and outpatient services, TARDOC covers exclusively outpatient services. In addition, new ambulatory flat rates now apply.

Both fee schedules are integrated into a so-called coherent fee system called AAT (Ambulatory Physician Fee Schedules) and are listed in a separate service catalog (LKAAT).

Services covered by ambulatory flat rates are no longer included in TARDOC.

The ambulatory medical tariffs were developed by the Organization for Ambulatory Medical Tariffs (OAAT), an organization comprising all tariff partners.
